Navarre Pier: Spanish and kings in clearing 83°F water

Navarre Pier is still on a late-summer Spanish-and-king program. Randy Meredith’s Navarre Newspaper report dated Sept. 16, 2026 — covering Wednesday, Sept. 15 into the 16th — has the pier open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. The beach flag was red on that sheet; Meredith notes the color can change, so check it on site before you walk into the Gulf.

Water was clearing, about 83°F, with a northeast wind at 3 to 15 mph and 1- to 3-foot waves. By the 7 p.m. update, Spanish, king, ladyfish, yellowtail, and hardtail had been caught that day. The day before was Spanish, yellowtail, and ladyfish. Meredith’s listed windows: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m., and 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.
